Surikat from the beginning
Surikat AB is a Swedish tech company based in Gothenburg, Sweden. We consider ourselves to be IT Supply Chain Experts, creating and supporting agile SaaS solutions for transportation, logistics, and terminal operations.
The company was founded in 1996 by Mattias Anderson who is still co-owner of the business today, and still actively involved in day to day activities. CEO Andreas Karlsson joined the company over 20 years ago, so has unique expertise in all aspects of the company from roadmapping and development, to sales and management.
Our oldest partnership is with DB Schenker who has been a customer of Surikat’s since 1996. We used our knowledge and experience in logistics to expand our portfolio to include the maritime, rail and road transportation sectors. Our Lynx solutions are now used in 35 countries across 6 continents of the world.
Why Surikat
Meerkats are known for their social nature and live in well-organized communities of up to a dozen individuals. Each meerkat in their tightly knit communities has a specialized role and collaborates with others to benefit the entire team. At our organization, we highly value teamwork and recognize the importance of working together towards common goals, just like meerkats. It's worth noting that in Swedish, meerkat is called Surikat.
This is essentially what Surikat AB is about – a well-defined team where every individual has its own special tasks; but it is the ability to collaborate and contribute to the team as an entirety which decides how we can successfully benefit our clients’ businesses.
